Mount Lindesay Highway Upgrade Program
The Mount Lindesay Highway is being upgraded to improve safety and efficiency.
The Mount Lindesay Highway at Jimboomba will be upgraded to improve safety, reduce congestion and improve shared path connectivity.
The highway at Jimboomba from Johanna Street to South Street will be upgraded. This 1.5km upgrade will widen the highway from 2 to 4 lanes to support population growth and reduce travel times.
The Australian Government and Queensland Government are funding the project. Project scope, cost and timing are subject to further planning, consideration and negotiation with the Australian Government. Investment ID 1776871
A revised project cost of $75 million was announced on 22 December 2023.

Early works for construction started in mid-2022, with main construction expected to commence in the second quarter of 2024, weather and construction scheduling permitting.
