Early works contract awarded for Stage 1 Central

An early works contract has been awarded to joint venture partners Fulton Hogan, JF Hull and McIlwain Civil Engineering (FHJV) to enable site investigations to commence. These site investigations will inform the design of this section of the project and are expected to continue throughout 2023.

The Stage 1 Central package will deliver an 8km section of the project between Helensvale Road and Smith Street Motorway. This section will be built from 4 to 6 lanes, providing more capacity for motorists.

Planning is underway to release the design for Stage 1 Central in early 2024.
