The department is undertaking planning to progressively upgrade the Beaudesert Road corridor, from the Logan Motorway towards Compton Road.
The Beaudesert Road corridor runs from Nottingham Road / Honeysuckle Way intersection to the Compton Road intersection. This 3km corridor services a high volume of vehicles accessing:
With around a daily average 40,000 vehicles accessing this road per day, we expect demand on Beaudesert road to continue to grow in the future.
This planning study will combine the previous planning activities from this area in the form of a multi-modal masterplan and staging study for the southern section of Beaudesert Road.
As part of the masterplan review, business cases are being developed detailing 4 key intersections within the project area:
This project is fully funded by the Queensland Government.
The project is currently in the planning phase and we are undertaking initial investigations and studies as part of masterplan and business case development.
Note: Implementation of business cases and intersection upgrades will be subject to community consultation, planning investigations, and competing on statewide prioritisation of transport infrastructure investments for further funding.

The design has been completed for the Beaudesert Road and Illaweena Street intersection upgrade project in Calamvale. Construction started late June 2022
