Are you up to the challenge?

We’ve amazed our researchers, industry is next.

Hot on the heels of the successful Research MIXr held on 9 June, TMR is off and running with its second collaboration, to be held in October this year.

I announced the Industry MIXr, TMR’s next innovation event, the at the Asphalt and Pavement Association of Australia (APAA) breakfast this morning.

We’re aiming to host this event in October to bring together industry with our challenges and vision for the future to explore potential solutions.

We know there are smart, innovative answers to our problems out there – and we want to be at the front of the pack to deliver for our customers.

In this TMR first, we’re breaking with traditional ways of working to connect directly with industry to do things differently and better.

We hope we get interest from all over our great State, as well as internationally.

We listened to industry and start-ups at the Advance Queensland Innovation and Investment Summit held in April this year.  You want us to be open for innovation and think outside the box.  This is your opportunity to be a part of it.

The Industry MIXr will be high energy, this will be no ordinary gathering.  Without giving too much away, prepare to be challenged by how innovative TMR is and how open we are to future opportunities.

The recent Research MIXr was described by participants as ‘like nothing we’ve seen by government’ – and it has already resulted in some possible pilot projects to improve safety on our roads.  This next challenge is for industry to come on board.
